Match Starts In
Zimbabwe will face South Africa in the second and final Test of the series on Sunday, July 6, at Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo. South Africa will be without their captain Keshav Maharaj, who got injured during the first Test. Wiaan Mulder will lead the team, and Senuran Muthusamy has been added as his replacement.
In the first Test, South Africa chose to bat but had a poor start. However, debutants Lhuan-dre Pretorius (153) and Dewald Brevis (51) built a strong partnership. Corbin Bosch also scored an unbeaten 100 as they posted 418/9. Zimbabwe, in reply, struggled, with only Sean Williams scoring 137. They were all out for 251.
South Africa added more pressure in the second innings with Mulder scoring 147 and Maharaj a fifty, setting a huge target. Zimbabwe managed only 208 in their second innings. Bosch took 5 wickets, and Pretorius was named Player of the Match for his superb debut.
